Frequently asked questions.

Is your honey raw and unheated?

Yes! Our honey is 100% raw and never exposed to high heat. During extraction, we sometimes use a room heater (around 90–95°F) to help the honey flow more easily from the comb. This gentle warmth does not heat the honey to high temperatures, so all natural enzymes, flavor, and nutrients remain intact.

Where is your honey sourced from?

Our honey comes from several of our apiaries across the Atlanta area, including Gwinnett, Cobb, and DeKalb counties. Some of it is from our home apiary in Lilburn. We practice small-batch beekeeping to ensure the highest quality and care for our bees.

Is your honey filtered?

Our honey is lightly strained to remove wax and bee parts, but it is never pasteurized or heavily filtered. This keeps it as natural as possible.

How should I store your honey?

Store honey in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. There’s no need to refrigerate; honey naturally preserves itself. Over time, it may crystallize, which is completely normal.

Can honey crystallize?

Yes! Crystallization is a natural process for pure honey. To return it to liquid form, gently warm the jar in a bowl of hot water (not boiling) and stir until smooth.

Is your honey safe for children?

Honey should not be given to children under 1 year old due to the risk of infant botulism. For everyone else, it is safe and healthy.

Do you use pesticides in your hives?

No. We prioritize the health of our bees and avoid harmful chemicals, using only natural and bee-friendly methods when possible.
